The Vega Baja Sustainable Consortium finalizes the administrative details to endow the region with a mobile ecopark of selective waste collection. The Official Gazette of the Province today collects the tender by open procedure declared as urgent to acquire said mobile ecoparque.
The president of the entity, Manuel Pineda, explained that “one of the points of the full past was the start-up of the mobile eco-park and the administrative procedures are being finalized in order to have this technology.” In this regard, it has specified that the delivery period is two months from the award of the contract, so that the start-up of the service is estimated to take place in 2018. After the tender, the successful bidder will have to provide the Consortium with a Ecopark whose maximum budget is 150,000 euros.

This installation will cover the municipalities of Vega Baja and inside it will deposit waste like electronics, batteries, oil and other waste. With this installation the Consortium will take another step to bring the region closer to efficient waste management and respect the environment. “We are taking all steps to put the Consortium where it deserves and banish that bad image that was had of him,” Pineda assured.
The president explained that the ecopark will have a person “who will be responsible for informing in a didactic way those who come to recycle.” In addition, the installation will have a computer system that will collect statistical data such as the timetable in which the waste is deposited, types of materials, and so on, “with the aim of optimizing recycling times,” said Pineda and added that ” Also will be implemented a card points so that the people who recycle are seen benefited with reductions in the rate of up to 50%. ”
The president also recalled that in the last plenary and in reference to ecoparques also approved the agreement between municipalities and the consortium for the assignment of these facilities owned and municipal management with contract in force. In this regard, the same session also approved the proposal of the agreement between Consortium and municipalities of the region for the cession of land for the creation of ecoparks.
